Welcome to the Virginia Review!

You might be interested to learn that the Virginia Review is the only independent, nonpolitical, professional journal for Virginia’s government officials since 1923. The Virginia Review, along with the Virginia Review Directory, offers a unique networking opportunity for individuals in the government community as well as others interested in networking with them. Our readers tell us they like having a journal that informs them about contemporary trends in real life situations that are happening in the Commonwealth. They also tell us they like the opportunity to read and learn from the regular management, GIS and IT columns, as well as the featured cover profile in each issue. Since the feature articles are written by professionals or students in the field, they trust the source of each of the articles and can relate to common challenges as well as successes.

We feature bimonthly issues that feature themes that change with the needs and interests of our readers.   In each and every issue we address topics that are of interest to, and about, Virginians. The Virginia Review contributors and columnists are volunteers, and we are told we have the best journal of its kind in the Commonwealth. Our columnists are all respected professionals in their fields, and one is a published author in his own area of expertise, so they share their real life experiences with our readers in each and every issue. We even have some out of state readers who say they appreciate reading about what is going on here as a model for their own situations.

The advertisers who support our publication are also working to help Virginia’s local and state government officials do the best job.  Many of them tell us they are glad to have such a nice forum to highlight their products and services. Overall, everyone who writes for us or supports us through their advertisement are working to make the Commonwealth the best that it can be.

We are always looking for new and interesting article ideas, so please let us know if you have suggestions. We also appreciate any updates you might have for job listings, or changes we need to note for our ongoing Virginia Review Directory updates. We are constantly looking to improve to meet our readers’ and advertisers’ needs. Thanks for your continued support.
