John Herzke, PE Designated a Public Works Leadership Fellow
NORFOLK, VIRGINIA December 20, 2011 – Clark Nexsen, an established leader in providing architecture, engineering, interior design, planning, and landscape architecture services announces that John Herzke, PE, Vice President of Municipal Services has been designated a Public Works Leadership Fellow (PWLF) by the American Public Works Association (APWA).
The Public Works Leadership Fellow (PWLF) program is part of APWA’s new Donald C. Stone Center for Leadership Excellence in Public Works. In the Leadership and Management Career Path, the Level 4 - PWLF is designated for those successful candidates with 20 years and over of relevant public works leadership experience. The APWA PWLFs have committed to mentoring program participants in Levels 1-3 of the Leadership and Management career path, which includes the Level 3: Public Works Executive (PWE), the Level 2: Public Works Manager (PWM), and the Level 1: Public Works Supervisor (PWS
Herzke is a Professional Civil Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the design and management of public, private and commercial projects. For the past two (2) years he has worked with Clark Nexsen as Vice President - Municipal Services. He has designed, managed, and supervised a myriad of projects including transportation projects (i.e., roadways, intersections, traffic signals, etc.), drainage projects, waterfront construction, building projects and a variety of other governmental infrastructure projects. He has been involved in the design, management as well as the construction of many of these municipal projects.
